Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently looking a Maintenance Engineer to work on a part-time contract basis. The Maintenance Engineer will support the development and optimization of asset reliability, equipment Maintenance, coordinate and support maintenance analysis and improvements exercises at our Vancouver location.

Responsibilities:
  • Development and improvement of maintenance tasks, inclusive of Tasks Lists and Maintenance Strategies
  • Review and interpretation of engineering information (such as dwgs, functional, and technical specifications) for the creation of Asset Hierarchy Master Data
  • Develop detailed Engineering Discipline equipment specific Work Instructions and Tasks Lists and the associated Master Data
    Continuous improvement of Maintenance Development and Optimization processes and technical procedures
  • Participate in client workshops and reviews
  • Catalogue Spare parts and assemble Bills of Materials
  • Participate and support equipment reliability related studies including RCM studies, FMEAs, FMECAs, Criticality Analysis, and RCAs
  • Support the development project documentation such as procedures, standards, and analysis papers
  • Development of technical reports, and conduct/ participate in lessons learnt sessions
  • Identify specialist tools, spare parts and consumables details required for accompanying maintenance activities where necessary
  • Plan and schedule maintenance activities
  • Capable of developing Technical Maintenance Methodologies
  • Domain expertise in the development of Master Data development processes, and the application and specifications of Master Data Techncial Objects
  • Deep working knowledge in the configuration of On-premise and Enterprise level Asset Management or CMMS tools such as SAP, Maximo, and others
  • Actively engage with external Clients
  • Interface with vendors and partners on technical requirements review and/ or development
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with technical Leads and Maintenance Engineers
  • Networking/ knowledge sharing/ training of peers and colleagues


Skills / Qualifications

  • BSc, BEng, BTech. Degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent with Site-based experience in Maintenance management, supervision
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the maintenance management field and in the execution of maintenance development projects
  • Experience in the development and configuration of Maintenance and Spares Master Data
  • Demonstrable balance of offshore and onshore asset equipment installation, operations, and maintenance experience
  • Experience and working knowledge of equipment installation and functional requirements
  • Work Planning & Scheduling
  • Intellectually capable, can apply maintenance theory in a practical context
    Knowledge of reliability and maintenance processes including Criticality Assessment, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
  • Functional knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) Master Data Objects
  • Strong analytical skills. Database and spreadsheet manipulation skills
  • Innovative, continuous improvement skills
  • Good team working and networking skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Must be a Canadian citizen, or authorized to work lawfully in Canada, without sponsorship from Wood.
