Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer for a 5 month duration with relevant experience in the oil and gas industry to work in our maintenance team on strategy application and technical data management.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and able to work independently. They will be confident in their own ability to deliver the Maintenance delivery scope on a project on time and within budget.

Prime Responsibilities and duties
  • Appropriate application of standard strategies and planned maintenance to new or replacement equipment on offshore oil and gas installations.
  • Play an active role in maintaining a strong safety culture in Maintenance Team.
  • Liaise with Technical Authorities in the development and/or approval of new planned maintenance, job plans and routes as required.
  • Preparation of CMMS and Engineering technical master data by using standard upload forms for submission to Clientoperation engineers and equipment class owner for review/approval.
  • Input into multidiscipline scope of work, prepare maintenance CTRs, participate in IAP (Interactive Activity Planning).
  • QA checks on deliverables and work carried out.
  • Create, monitor, and report on the budget.
  • Develop working relationships with the Client Project engineering discipline engineers, and the Maintenance Team.
  • Propose and develop improvement plans.
  • Be flexible and assist in the development of tag templates for upload in the Client Central tag database.
  • Review vendor documentation.
  • Participate in All-in Agile KanBan sessions for Close Out deliverables.
  • Assist the Lead and Principal Maintenance Engineer with other ongoing scopes.

Discipline Specific:
  • Assign equipment specific Tag Numbers to asset items in accordance with applicable procedures.
  • Assign resources and supporting activities required to undertake specified maintenance activities.
  • Develop, review, and modify maintenance task lists in accordance with applicable procedures.


Skills / Qualifications

  • Experience in or exposure to CMMS and/or integrated Engineering databases.
  • Oil and Gas or Petrochemical demonstrable experience in either Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering role, with a proven background of delivery.
  • Basic understanding of the various maintenance strategies, planned maintenance routines.
