The Subsea Wellhead Mechanical Engineer provides engineering skills to assist in providing innovative and cost-effective solutions requiring the development or sustaining of new or improved techniques, procedures or products in the Subsea Wellhead space. Assist in planning, conducting and evaluating approaches to meet projects objectives in a timely fashion.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Design Subsea Wellhead Equipment to current industry standards.
  • Perform classical design calculations. Ability to perform and interpret FEA.
  • Host/lead design reviews and FMECA's (Failure mode, effects, and criticality analysis).
  • Write test procedures as per current industry standards (API 17D, API 6A).
  • Assist in testing of Wellhead equipment.
  • Sustain current Wellhead product files and assist with Aftermarket Support.
  • Create/revise work instructions and templates to promote continuous improvement within the team.
  • Assist Manufacturing Plant with disposition on deviations and/or processes.
  • Some travel will be required as Plant is in Johor, Malaysia and most projects are global.
  • InTOUCH subject matter expert for Subsea Wellhead operations
  • Monitor feedback from operations and give feedback as to operation guidelines.


Minimum Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor / Masters in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3+ years relevant experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem solving ability.
  • Computer skills to include: SAP (desirable), Office (Word, Excel, etc), MathCad, AutoCAD and Inventor or similar 3D CAD package.
  • Have the initiative and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Adaptability/Flexibility.
  • Customer (internal and external) focus.
  • Decision Making/Judgment. Dependability. Initiative.
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.
