Baker Hughes Chemicals arranges a ll resources, and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers' site/property. These activities contribute to, maintain, repair and refurbish sold or existing products. It also includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering.

As our Account Manager you will be responsible for promoting and meeting sales growth targets through market and customer intelligence, by effectively managing assigned accounts and ensuring targets are met and exploiting opportunities to sell our services.

As a Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for:

Overseeing Service Technicians for the Account, indirect upselling on Accounts, and Customer Service. You will contribute to the development of an operational year plan for own department activities of the team. Discusses consequences of changes in products and processes for the own team in the organization, working closely together with colleagues from the business unit.
  • Account management ensuring sustainable relationships and financial returns
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities with new and existing customers
  • Maintaining business relationships with clients, setting up meetings between client decision makers and company's leaders to secure and maintain contracts.
  • Coordinating laboratory work and providing technical assistance to support customer accounts
  • Management of tenders, technical queries, projects and chemical trials
  • Supply Chain Management of chemical supply, stock projections, relevant forecasting
  • Responsible for the HSE of the project and in ensuring full compliance with all company standards
  • Maintain, develop and report value creation programs
  • Other ad-hoc duties and special projects as assigned


Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have a degree in Chemical Engineering, Engineering or equivalent experience would be beneficial
  • Have experience in working in chemical production as well as in laboratory environment
  • Have experience of working with HSE and QA standards and practices, knowledge of HSE and general housekeeping responsibilities within a chemical environment
  • Have knowledge of various chemical testing methods, industrial processes and quality standards required within a chemical environment
  • Have the ability of managing technical projects, chemical trials as well as chemical supplies
  • Possession of a driver license
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as oral and listening skills
  • Being able to organize, plan, delegate, allocate and execute work through diplomacy and negotiating
  • Be fluent in written and spoken Dutch and English
