Our Turbomachinery & Process Solutions team provides industry-leading products and services that optimize the extraction, production and processing of energy. We help a diverse range of customers across the value chain to reduce operating costs and improve productivity.

As a Global Channels Digital Tools Sr. Manager, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Serving as a key member of both the Valves Global Channels team and the Valves Digital Council to drive a seamless and on-time execution of our Digital Tools Roadmap.
  • Working closely with our Channel Partners, Valves Digital Council and other users and stakeholders to understand their needs.
  • Leading migration / implementation of the new Channel Partnership Relationship Management (PRM) Portal, Channel workflow tools and other tools as needed, working closely with the Baker Hughes Digital Technology and Valves Digital Council teams:
    • Digital Technology team will be your partner. As they design and build, you will coach, guide, structure, explain, and provide the voice of the channel to ensure quality results and user satisfaction.
    • Develop a detailed project plan for the Valves business to monitor and track progress.
    • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects (on time, within scope and within budget).
    • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification and change management techniques.
    • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
    • Identify, assess and mitigate key risks and opportunities.
    • Report regularly to stakeholders and escalate as needed.
  • Owning the lifecycle management of key Channel facing (digital) tools, including the Valves Channel Partnership Relationship Management (PRM) Portal, channel supporting workflow tools, and other channel facing tools as needed:
    • Lead all continuous improvement and integration efforts across Channel facing tools, from the commercial business standpoint.
    • Ensure a thoughtful wing-to-wing user experience for our channel partners by continually tracking user feedback / Voice of Customer (VOC); identify, escalate, and resolve gaps and discrepancies.
    • Manage stakeholders, both internally and externally, through constant and effective communication, conflict resolution and change management techniques.
    • Make sure functional/content owners are assigned for each channel facing application and content is kept up to date.
    • Identify and facilitate education, training and cross-training opportunities across the channel tool set

Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:

 

 

  • Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Have minimum 10 years of experience with at least 5 years of project management experience leading Commercial Excellence initiatives and / or Digital Technology initiatives (e.g. implementation of software solutions, software architecture, etc.).
  • Have proven prioritization and project management skills. Ideally,
  • Ability to manage multiple project phases, from initial proposal, project definition and cost estimate to final project delivery.
  • Have interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to influence, communicate, build consensus and lead cross-functional teams at different levels of a matrix organization.
  • Have experience defining and implementing initiatives in a matrix / cross-functional organization.
  • Have organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Have a heightened sense of teamwork, entrepreneurism and accountability.
  • Have an "ideas mindset" with an ability to find practical solutions to problems.
  • Have experience using Lean and Six Sigma process improvement practices
  • Data-driven, with the ability to communicate recommendations using facts and derived information.
  • Have a highly collaborative style across functional and technical audiences.
  • Have expertise working in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Have oral and written English language communication skills
  • Have a hardworking with a positive, can-do attitude, and be willing and able to roll up your sleeves to get the goals accomplished.
  • Have the ability to work across time zones in order to support regional activity and flexibility to travel (if needed)

 


Desired Characteristics

 

 

  • Valves (control, safety, regulation, etc.) domain and industry knowledge would be a plus.
  • Experience working with channel partners and/or end user customers in a commercial function.
