Looking for a Production Technician in the McAlester, OK area that will be responsible for all artificial lift design and optimization of all plunger lift and all AL wells. Please see below for a summary, full JD, and qualifications needed.
Summary/objective: Well Technicians will evaluate artificial lift installations to maximize oil/gas well efficiency by utilizing specialized equipment and closely monitoring production from new horizontal and older vertical wells.
Evaluate artificial Lift installations to maximize oil/gas well efficiencies by utilizing specialized equipment and closely monitoring production.
Gather field data, evaluate and make recommendations to perform well work necessary to optimize production.
Generate daily reports of dynamometer and fluid level data to the engineering and operations departments.
Respond to requests for the special non-routine wells.
Communicate daily with the engineering and operations departments.
Relieve operations foremen as needed.
Ensure proper security, maintenance/servicing of assigned equipment such as fluid level instruments, dynamometers, accessories, and company vehicle.
Become familiar with the inputting of data, maintenance and benefits of Open Wells database.
Oversee work completed by contractors who install/repair electronic pump off controllers at well locations.
Candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation, programming, trouble shooting, and repair of artificial lift RPC equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
Run RodStar or S-Rod to design rod strings and beam lift systems
Some knowledge of oil and gas related systems and programs (Totalrod, Carte, Cube, Xspoc, etc) preferred
Familiar with checking, monitoring, maintaining and repairing pump off controllers.
Intermediate computer skills with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Understanding of artificial lift RPC equipment.
This job operates in a field environment. This role works in outside weather conditions. The employee is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, cold weather, extreme heat, and vibration.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have visual acuity to operate a motor vehicle and view a computer terminal. While at the worksite the individual will be expected to walk and stand. On occasion this individual might be asked to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and/or crawl.
Position type and expected hours of work:
This is a full-time position, and typical work hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 a. m. to 4:00 p. m. or 8:00 a. m. to 5:00 p. m. Evening and weekend work will be expected at times.
Travel to remote locations required daily. Out of area and overnight travel no more than 5% each year.
High School education or equivalent
4 years oil and gas operations experience
1 year Lease Operator experience or equivalent
