Essential:-  Experience with one or more prominent public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure). TOGAF. Experience architecting distributed highly available, resilient, & scalable solutions. Deep level of awareness in Cloud & Security technologies so as to enable creative solutions to complex & high-risk challenges. Experience in solution design & development with the Microsoft technology stacks. Knowledge & understanding of DevOps methodologies, processes, & tools. Highly developed specialist knowledge & experience in applying strategic business, operational & design experience to inform architectural decisions. Ability to present technical concepts, analysis, & solutions to a wide technical as well as non-technical audience to ensure broad adoption of the overall data architectural plan

 

Digital Design Lead Architect Qualifications

 

•         Bachelor's degree on Computing or related discipline.

•         Microsoft Certifications - Azure Fundamentals AZ-900

•         Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-303, AZ-304)

•         Microsoft Certified - Windows Virtual Desktop Specialty (AZ140)

•         Microsoft 365 Certified - Enterprise Administrator Expert

•         TOGAF Certification would be advantageous

 

Digital Design Lead Architect Role Synopsis       

 

The Digital Design Lead Architect reports to the IT Digital Design & Security Manager. This role is responsible for the strategy, design, guidance on implementation & configuration including maintenance, troubleshooting, security, usage monitoring & the development of specialized system procedures.

 

Digital Design Lead Architect Key Accountabilities

             

  • Single-Point of overall Technical Design Authority for solutions & Incident scenarios.
  • For new solutions to be able to break down & refine features to provide high level estimates & ensure architectural, functional & non-functional requirements are captured
  • Ensure that regulatory, legal & compliance concerns are captured & addressed
  • Perform unbiased technical comparison analysis versus competitor solutions
  • Architect & design solutions to exceed functional & non-functional requirements as defined by the IT Digital Design & Security Manager & the CIO.
  • Work closely with the rest of IT & the business to build close relationships, understand their specific needs & act as a trusted advisor to help influence how IT is used to benefit the whole organization.
  • Create & review architecture & solution design artefacts. Providing recommendations on enhancing/improving the environment & have input into technical strategic direction
  • Ensure adherence to architectural standards/principles, global product-specific guidelines, usability design standards, etc.
  • Proactively guide DevSecOps methodologies, standards, & leading practices
  • Technically Guide Implementation & Solution Architects & review as-built configurations during construction phase
  • Provide insight & direction on roles & responsibilities required for solution/product operations
  • Identify, communicate & mitigate Risks, Assumptions, Issues & Decisions throughout full lifecycle
  • Use strategic thinking & consider the art of the possible, comparing various options based on feasibility & impact
  • Propose actionable plans & roadmaps that balance tactical & strategic needs
  • Provide training & knowledge transfer as required
