Partner with the best

The Facilities Specialist is responsible for maintaining the Building, Fixtures and Services at the Baker Hughes Newcastle Manufacturing Site, working for the Facilities Leader to deliver the Asset Management Strategy. This will involve both in-house and sub-contract activities, and the Facilities Specialist will be responsible for executing these activities and supporting external contractors.

As a Facility Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing Electrical and Facilities repairs and improvement activities, working along-side onsite Facilities team, Multiskilled Maintenance Technicians and Yard Operators
  • Supporting sub-contractors with service contracts and planned facility maintenance
  • Supporting Statutory and Regulatory inspections to meet UK and BH requirements
  • Supporting Defect Elimination and RCA activities to improve equipment reliability and availability
  • Supporting of key Contracts for Security and Reception, Cleaning and Catering
  • Integrating services for new equipment into existing production lines and reacting Quickly to Office and Facility related issues
  • Supporting Factory Shut-down activities, including Annual HV shutdown, Energy Reduction Projects onsite and future site development in line with strategic business objectives

To be successful in this role you will:



  • Be Time Served in an Electrical or Maintenance background with proven experience in Facilities / Manufacturing
  • Have an Electrical qualification to a minimum of 17th Edition
  • Have experience or a qualification in Electrical Safety Testing
