Baker Hughes Digital Solutions (DS) has an opening for a Lead Modeling and Simulation Engineer as part of the Multiphysics Model-based System Engineering (MMBSE) technology domain. The Lead Engineer role is responsible for working on key computational modeling and simulation initiatives across the DS business units, accelerating NTI/NPI, and applying virtual validation to save cost and yield higher product quality.

As a Lead Modeling & Simulation Engineer, your main responsibilities are:

• Applying modeling and simulation approaches and methodologies into new DS tech and product development.

• Applying finite element modeling into electronics and electromagnetic analysis, and related structural, thermal, vibration, fatigue etc. Multiphysics environment, and conduct analytical studies for performance prediction and design optimization.

• Interpreting analysis results with respect to lab/field testing, convert these results into practical design procedure, and provide business support to the best practices of future product development.

• Presenting project updates to key stakeholders including senior business and technology leaders.

• Working closely with the other Enterprise Technology teams to continue building the DS ecosystem, promote a system thinking culture, and demonstrate business impact.

• Demonstrating Baker Hughes values when interacting with customers, employees, and partners.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

• B.S., M.S., or PhD in STEM and more than 3 years of experience on Multiphysics Computational Modeling and Simulation.

• Proven capabilities to model complex systems and products across multiple disciplines (including electrical, electromagnetic, mechanical, thermal, vibration and fatigue etc.).

• Proven proficiency and expertise in utilizing several modeling and numerical simulation software (ANSYS/Maxwell/HFSS/nCode, MATLAB, COMSOL, SolidWorks, NX, or similar).

• E xperience in testing and failure modeling of electronic products

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
