Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is seeking a Contract - Recruiter to join our team in the Houston, Texas area. Y ou must be highly driven, self-motivated that can work independently as well as part of a larger Resourcing team, an individual who is able to successfully recruit and screen talent and fill a variety of professional technical roles within aggressive customer-driven timelines.

Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required

Key Responsibilities

 

 

  • Partners and collaborates with clients to understand their business strategy and talent requirements.
  • Partners with HR and the business to develop and implement a short and long-term hiring strategy to support business plans.
  • Counsels Functional Recruiters (FRs) and Recruitment Team Leads on talent acquisition processes.
  • Facilitates the talent acquisition process to ensure a positive experience for the applicants.
  • Facilitates the pre-employment screening process, including the completion of employment applications and background documents with the TA Representative to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Partners and guides hiring managers to develop offer letters.
  • Continuous Improvement - identify trends and opportunity areas to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Contributes to tech and process projects, providing subject matter expertise.

 


Skills / Qualifications

 

 

 

 

  • Must be comfortable with process development as well as continuous improvement processes
  • Previous experience with high volume recruiting which is subject to change at short notice
  • Ability to source/recruit, screen, interview and hire top talent into our business
  • Ability to create, measure and sell the right work-flow between candidates and hiring managers and the recruiting team
  • Understanding of human resources best practices and procedures
  • Human Resources knowledge such as EEO, FLSA, diversity recruiting, interview best practices
  • Must have excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills; excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Prior experience with an on-line applicant tracking system or comparable database
  • 3 + years of previous experience in recruiting- Prof Tech
