As the EPC Commercial Manager (Subsea Production System), you will be reporting to the Regional OTR Commercial Leader APACI, and operationally supporting the Project Director, the Commercial Manager is responsible for providing leadership and direction within the multi discipline project.

As the EPC Commercial Manager , you will be responsible for:

  • Handling all aspects of contract management, including proposal development, risk management and mitigation, specification compliance, scope development, transactional pricing, customer negotiations, customer communications and issue resolution
  • Leading the Commercial interface with the client, BH's project partners as well as internal business units (Finance, Planning, Sourcing, Legal and Product Line Centre's of Excellence)
  • Leading transactional deal process having the ability to structure creative, commercially and technically sound quality deals as well as fully manage associated contractual issues that arise over the life of the project.
  • Providing advice, assistance and guidance to senior management, project managers and functional leaders on project to effect positive commercial outcomes.
  • Providing leadership during the deal review process to ensure that all commercial risk points, risk mitigation, and business risk acceptance levels are properly incorporated in the development of the scope, cost and proposal wording
  • Interfacing with Region Sales teams to develop commercial strategies and solutions that will meet customer requirements as well as meet or exceed business goals.
  • Leading the commercial interface with project partners as well as internal business units (Finance, Planning, Sourcing, Legal and Product Line Centre's of Excellence)
  • Providing advice, assistance and guidance to senior management, project managers and functional leaders on project to effect positive commercial outcomes.
  • Deputising for the Project Director as required.


Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have University degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Commerce, Cost Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration or Law.
  • Have substantial contract management experience in a capital construction project environment.
  • Have strong commercial leadership skills with proven capability of working in a matrix environment and of leading by influence.
  • Have experience in a similar position, having worked on major infrastructure projects is an advantage.
  • Have working knowledge of the key legal risk areas for project environment goods and services agreements.
  • Have experience in working closely with stakeholders to drive resolution on complex issues.
  • Have technical product knowledge - understanding of subsea production systems is an advantage
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Have strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Have demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Have established project management skills.
  • Be PC Literate: Excel, Word, Outlook
