Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a E3D / PDMS Administrator with experience in the oil and gas industry. This role will be permanent and based in our Staines office.

The candidate shall be responsible for Aveva E3D / PDMS software administration, including Creation / Maintenance / Set-up of Add-on Programs or Catalogue and Specification database for 3D model components of Piping, Equipment, Instrumentation, Structure, etc. that are used for offshore projects.
  • Ability to develop and produce E3D/PDMS 3D model, 2D drafting and generate report from E3D Model.
  • To coordinate E3D/PDMS Work scope for Project between company during design and construction.
  • To ensure model are updated as per drawings/deliverables during FEED/detail design and construction.
  • Tasks include but not limited to.
  • E3D/PDMS administration & task scheduling. (Navisworks exports)
  • Project work share administration where required
  • Manage day-to-day administration activities for all PDMS projects
  • Configure new E3D or PDMS projects
  • Implement Review / Navisworks model exports and attend project model reviews
  • Implement Clash Manager where required
  • Configure standard E3D or PDMS MTO/progress reports to suit project
  • PDMS database maintenance
  • Project piping & electrical isometric configuration
  • Project process/piping line data imports
  • PDMS model archive or hand over in accordance with procedures
  • Liaison with and reporting to Leads on Projects
  • Simple modifications or additions to PDMS catalogues
  • E3D / PDMS Equipment modelling, pipe routing and HVAC routing
  • E3D / PDMS Draft /Draw drawing production and assisting users
  • User training & support for E3D / PDMS and associated applications
  • Oversee & coordinate 3D software upgrades
  • Develop CAD routines as necessary to increase productivity & support budget & schedule (PML)
  • Supervise 3D CAD systems configuration and database administration
  • Assist the Design Manager to prepare & issue department 3D documents


Skills / Qualifications

  • Experienced in construction, engineering detailed design and front-end engineering design (FEED)
  • Experienced in Aveva PDMS 12.1 SP5 or SP6 or latest version of E3D/PDMS
  • Experienced in Aveva E3D/PDMS Review
  • Experienced in Aveva E3D/PDMS Global
  • Familiar with Construction drawings for various disciplines and applications
  • May be accountable for work package HSE, quality, schedule and cost performance
  • Resolves highly complex technical issues and provides technical assurance in areas of discipline expertise
  • Wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
  • HNC or equivalent in appropriate engineering subject preferred
  • PDMS expert and database administration
  • Experience of 3D CAD coordination
