Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for Cost Engineer
  • Work as part of the Project Team on major projects within the Wood Thailand Project controls organisation
  • Working on a variety of projects both domestic and offshore both reimbursable and lump sum
  • Reporting directly to the Chief Cost Engineer or PCM
  • Manage and report project cost both internally and to client
  • Reporting and forecasting on all project costs including for services, materials and Sub-contract construction costs.
  • Participating in period project cost reviews including for profit and loss assessments
  • Participating in project risk assessments


Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher preferably in field of Engineering
  • Min 3 years direct experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical , Pharmaceutical, Chemical or similar facilities, experience of FEED, EPC Projects is preferable
  • Exposure to project cost control or commercial management of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Works would be preferable but not essential
  • Should be able to interpret contracts with regards to scope, commerical liability and opportunity
  • Have the ability to understand and manage financial risks
  • Must have good IT skills
  • Must have good command of English language both oral and written
  • Previous Project experience preferred but not essential
