Due to the urgency to fill the position, we require Malaysian or Malaysian Residential Permit holders for this role. We are however open to reviewing applications from outside of Malaysia for future openings.
 
 
Main Responsibilities
Day to day activities that support the business ethics and related reports under the supervision of the Superintendent/ Master/ Chief Engineer.
Interprets the code of business and ethics policies and communicates the same with the organization.
Control of the updated copies of Standard Codes & Reference Publication relevant to the operation of the marine vessel.
Maintain the original copy of the vessel certificates/documentation with a register indicating the status such as date and place of issues & expiry date. Prepare purchasing requisition for barge wire ropes & wire ropes slings. Control/maintain the "Monthly Wire Rope Inventory Report for all wire ropes onboard marine vessel (both installed & storage).
Maintain & updates all wire ropes records onboard marine vessels & ensure that minimum documentation of the wire is kept for record or filing.
Oversee the storage, handling and maintenance of wire rope in storage onboard marine vessel.
Assist the third-party service provider during inspecting, calibrating & load testing of all marine vessel equipment.
Maintain & control all documentation and written inspection/inventories records of all rigging/lifting gears such as slings, shackles, webbing slings, chain falls, lever hoist & etc.
To keep track of all wire inspections onboard the vessel
To furnish lists of Warehouse Inventory, Installation Aids & Equipment, as and when required
Assist in ensuring proper filing and easy references for future and storing the old documents
 
Requirement
5 years' of work experience onboard offshore Vessels or barges required.
Valid BOSIET, Offshore Medical Certificate,
Maritime Cyber Security certificate is an added advantage.
Pleasant disposition with the capability to be authoritative when necessary.
Clear and effective oral and written communications skills in English language.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of principle discipline and peripheral subjects.
Strong coordination, organization and liaison skills with the ability to seek and gain consensus solutions to complex issues.
