The Manufacturing Engineer will support Mechanical Production of Wireline Tools to maintain and improve manufacturability, quality , serviceability, and work alongside the Technology Team with newly introduced Product.

As a Manufacturing Engineer You will be responsible for:
  • Work alongside Technology, Manufacturing Team, Quality and Suppliers on defects, identifying the root cause and implementing corrective and preventative measures.
  • Provide Technical Leadership to the team on Assembly Best Practices
  • Assure proper documentation of Assembly and Test instructions for assigned products.
  • Identify improvement opportunities in the manufacturing process to reduce opportunities for error and reduce manufacturing lead times. Design and implement jigs and fixtures for assembly aids, utilise on site resources 3D Printers, router, machine shop as required.
  • Design Test plans as required for design updates and changes.
  • Champion Safety on-site within the manufacturing team.
  • Identify improvement projects and drive improvements across the supply chain, using, Lean, 5S, Shainin, Six Sigma etc....
  • Support the Purchasing team with raw materials coming in and qualification of Mechanical suppliers, ensuring supplier process capability is effective to meet BHGE requirements.
  • Support Technical services and Quality team closing out Customer Complaints.
  • Work alongside the Engineering Team on New Products on Design for manufacture and transition of products into Manufacturing.

To be successful in this role you will:
  • The Manufacturing Engineer will as a minimum have a bachelor's d egree in Engineering
  • Proven years' experience working in a Manufacturing Engineering role.

  • The Engineer will have excellent cross-functional communication skills and the ab ility to communicate at all levels within the company.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership skills
