Partner with the best

As Director of Global Government Affairs, you will serve as our primary liaison to APAC policymakers. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our position in the future of energy. You will protect and advance our interests across all regions, product companies and functions.

As a Director of Global Government Affairs, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading Baker Hughes government affairs engagement for APAC, and collaborating with internal and external functions to execute our public policy strategy.
  • Identifying, tracking and effectively communicating public policy developments to the business and to the Global Government Affairs team, and formulating practical recommendations for the company's response.
  • Strengthening the company's positioning as a key technology enabler of the Energy Transition, with an emphasis on APAC climate policies, funding, and company participation in key coalitions/working groups.
  • Representing the company in key trade associations and other relevant, non-governmental organizations.
  • Coordinating APAC commercial advocacy and managing relevant third-party consultants and service providers.
  • Managing recordkeeping and reporting consistent with applicable public ethics laws.


Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a minimum of 10 years' professional experience in government and/or government advocacy on behalf of a company, trade association or government affairs firm.
  • Have substantial expertise in energy and climate policy, and an existing network of constructive relationships at meaningful levels of government.
  • Be a good communicator and be fluent in English and one other language.
  • Be able to cope with multiple deadlines and be able to multitask effectively.
  • Be able to demonstrate a composed and clear communication style, and the poise to interact with senior leaders inside and outside of the company.
  • Be able to anticipate needs and make judgement calls within your sphere of responsibilities
