A statistician in the Digital Wellbeing Program will help with research by using mathematical and statistical techniques to deeply analyze raw data to identify useful trends and insights. The statistician will interpret and analyze data from multiple sources to come up with imaginative solutions to issues regarding digital wellbeing. They will also be tasked to create and edit visual content from qualitative and quantitative data. This visual content includes but is not limited to charts, maps and graphs.
A successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's/Masters degree in statistics, mathematics, or other relevant fields from a recognized and approved program.
The candidate should have at least 5 years of experience working as a statistician or a similar role. They should have experience in working with large amounts of sensitive raw data.
The candidate should be able to demonstrate the following skills:
1. Analytical skills: They must have a keen eye to detect patterns and anomalies in data. They must also have the ability to compile and organize statistical information.
2. Computer literacy: They must have the ability to leverage computer softwares and databases to collect and manipulate data.
3. Communication skills: They must be able to strongly convey and present their findings to colleagues and management. They must also have the capacity to work alone and within teams.
