Baker Hughes Process & Pipeline Services (PPS) supports the full lifecycle of customers' asset from pre-commissioning to decommissioning. We help to reduce future corrosion, improve efficiency and maximize throughput. Our engineered solutions provide accurate and reliable data to clients, help promote environmental and public safety along with asset integrity.

Partner with the best

In this role, you will manage transportation and related logistics of goods and services to and from internal and/or external customers/suppliers. You will manage both handling domestic truck movements and the export to Canada, and LATAM from US. You will manage any regional inventory transfers and non-project movement for logistics.

As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and leading end-to-end logistics solutions to achieve required on-time pick up & delivery of goods
  • Handling communication with colleagues and the business about coordination services rendered
  • Arranging required customs clearances shipping/receiving & packing activities
  • Liaising with PPS approved Logistics Service Providers (LSP) to attain best cost/service options for PPS shipments
  • Ensuring logistics compliance to all regulatory requirements, company policies and NAM import /export operations
  • Using the PPS business system to generate the shipping documents for shipments
  • Performing the record keeping of the logistics documentation as per the policy & procedures
  • Following internal HSE policies for equipment and logistics to ensure safety and compliance
  • Achieving cost savings through maximizing utilization of suppliers, preferred vendors/contractors and identifying additional efficiency opportunities, consistent with goals and objectives

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Logistics)
  • Have good working knowledge of principal modes of shipment; road, sea and air
  • Be keen to work collaboratively in a team and be a good team player
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and be highly adaptable
  • Be a driven individual with proven problem-solving capability.
