Control System Engineer - Electronics

Play an important role in delivering outcomes for customers
You will be responsible for activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems. It includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components. You will be developing the new test lab at BH Stavanger Dusavik.

As a Control System Engineer - Electronics, you will be responsible for:
  • Developing test programs for electronics units and ability to set-up and execute prescribed tests
  • Reviewing circuit card designs that interface to firmware, hardware and software
  • Ensure electronics component and system designs have appropriate analytics, empirical design/testing, and production level verification
  • Identify customers requirement; technical, products problems, execution issues and bring effective solutions
  • Provide support to Onshore and Offshore operations
  • Creating/Reviewing/Approving of engineering Parts/Documents/Procedures/Study Reports/ Design/Requirement as per guidelines and authorization


Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have BSc. or MSc. of Electronics, Mechatronics or Telecommunication with some experience in Engineering/Technology
  • Have proven experience with electronic hardware & software (preferred experience at oil&gas production control systems)
  • Have knowledge of transmission protocols e.g. CAN, Modbus, ethernet protocols
  • Have working knowledge and experience of PCB design - low & extremally low voltage, analogue & digital circuits (including microcontrollers)
  • Have very good oral and written communication skills.
  • Have the ability to influence others and lead small teams.
