Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior HSE Advisor for a 3 month contract with offshore experience in the Oil and Gas Petrochemical Industry.

Provide HSE support offshore as identified in the Project Visit Schedule or when required

Monitor, document and report project HSE activity and performance

Report, record and coordinate project HSE incidents on CAIRS and support investigations as required

Support and coach project personnel on HSE related topics, briefings and inductions

Encourage and coach project personnel around BP IRIS observations and performance

Work with the Wood BP north sea contract HSE focal point to support the HSE and wider contract teams as required

Develop and roll out safety related material in line with project and BP north sea contract requirements

Supporting and delivering project and BP HSE expectations

Planning, preparation, delivery and management of project assurance activities and associated actions

Successful delivery of HSE initiatives, topics and campaigns

Skills / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

Degree (or degree equivalent) in relevant technical, industry or HSSEA specific discipline

Internationally recognized HSE qualification (e,g. NEBOSH, NVQ5, NCRQ) essential

Trained Internal Auditor (essential)

RCA - Accident / incident Investigator, e.g. Taproot (essential)

Minimum Experience :

Experience in a HSE role in O&G or other process - related industry

Previous HSE experience working for or alongside BP

Job - Specific Skills:

Familiar with HSE management in a process industry - related contractor organisation

Broad HSE experience in contractor and / or process - related industry

Good planning and organisational skills

Effective / competent MS Office Suite User

Good communication skills in both written and spoken format

Valid offshore Certs & Medical
