Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent/university or technical training
  • Experience and skills with relations to repair and maintenance of offshore equipment used in the ROV industry
  • Experience in offshore ROV operations
  • Crane certification preferred
  • Welding skills required for fabrication

 

Position Type

  • This is a full-time position: days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Extended hours of work may be required as job duties demand.

 

Responsibilities

  • Conducts asset repair, refurbishment, and testing
  • Performs SAT of equipment
  • Performs fleet upgrades
  • Maintains C-I's inventory of rigging equipment
  • Ensures safety, functionality and availability of rigging equipment
  • Uses forklift and/or crane(s) to move rigging and equipment
  • Constructs pallets or crates to facilitate movement and storage of slings/rigging/equipment
  • Prepares test equipment for shipping as necessary
  • Receives and tags test equipment from the fleet
  • Maintains inventory of tools, fasteners, consumables, sorbents and parts necessary to complete tasks
  • Conducts daily overhead crane inspections
  • Maintains stock of welding consumables
  • Ensures tools are functioning safely and properly
  • Maintains facility air compressor
  • Maintains facility sandblast booth
  • Inspects and tests transfer switch monthly/quarterly
  • Maintains oil and air filters
  • Test runs generator once a week
  • Maintains generator fuel level and performs oil changes as needed
  • Works as directed by supervisor

 

HSE Responsibilities

  • Document and notify Company Management immediately of any accidents, illnesses, incidents, near misses, etc.
  • Participate in the Company's safety programs (e.g. BBS, Pre-Job Safety Meetings, Toolbox Talks, Control of Work, Near Miss, Risk Assessment, etc.) within the department.
  • Utilize "Stop Work Authority" if any personal safety, environmental risk, property damage or Company reputation are at risk.
  • Responsible for ensuring the maintenance and use of all necessary PPE.
  • Performs all duties while wearing protective equipment to include PFD, gloves, boots, eye protection, hearing protection, etc.
  • Responsible for the elimination of at-risk behaviors by reducing unsafe conditions and unsafe acts on and around the work site.
  • Responsible for participation in accident, incident, and quality investigations and implementing corrective actions, as directed.
