Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is recruiting for a MAC Interface and MoC Engineer to join our team, working on rotation, based on site in Tengiz, Kazakhstan.

The Future Growth Project-Wellhead Pressure Management Project (FGP-WPMP) represents the next major expansion of the Tengiz oilfield in Kazakhstan. FGP-WPMP plant facilities will use sour gas injection technology to increase Tengiz crude oil production.

You will be a self-motivated individual who is able to lead a multi-discipline team, within project requirements, with minimum supervision and is capable of coordinating and interfacing with multiple teams associated with the client and the internal MAC organisation. The associated project requirements cover SAT, commissioning support and technical aspects of the Process Automation System (PAS).

Reporting to the MAC Field Execution Lead, you will be responsible for:


  • COWL (Carry Over Work List) and associated CR (Change request) and punch preparation
  • Creation of CR's and Temporary CR's
  • DCN (Design Change Notes), TCC (Technical Change Control), RFI (Request for Information), TQ (technical Query)
  • MC+ Punches Review
  • Configuration Release files
  • SAT Docs Readiness
  • Weekly reporting of CR and punch list status
  • SAT RLM (Red Line Mark-up) approval and issue
  • Document support for Systems Completion team from Webtop and Citadon

Skills / Qualifications


Ideally, you will have 10+ years of relevant Oil and Gas Automation / Control experience, including proven knowledge and experience of Honeywell Process Automation System (PAS) knowledge and Honeywell PCS systems

What will set you apart will be your a minimum of 5 years working experience with MoC, product training on Honeywell Safety Manager systems and being able to trouble shoot and resolve interfaces to the safety manager.

In addition, also have:



  • Experience in Management of Change processes and understands their importance.
  • Extensive experience of Honeywell Experion PKS systems particularly C300 controllers.
  • Working knowledge of Honeywell FDM.
  • Basic understanding of latest Experion Network architectures.
  • Working knowledge of associated documentation such as Cause and Effects, P&IDs, Control narratives, Data sheets and site procedures.


You must be qualified to degree level. The degree must in an Engineering discipline associated with Automation / Control and is a requirement is to support work permit and meet visa requirements.
