We are currently seeking an experienced Toolpusher to take up a key leadership role, for an offshore drilling campaign on the North-West Shelf.


Reporting to the Rig Manager, you will be responsible for the operational safety, efficiency, production and client relations of the drilling unit.




• Provide onboard leadership and direction for meeting customers' drilling program requirements, policies and procedures

• Directly report the company on board the rig and is responsible for the overall operation, management and safety of the drilling unit

• Ensure that all operations proceed in a safe manner

• Plan and supervise rig activities such as repairs, maintenance of drilling fluids, rigging up and down etc and ensure all operations are coordinated in the most efficient manner possible.

• Order rig parts and supplies and make decisions regarding utilization of equipment

• Ensure compliance with HSE Management system to allow for safe and efficient operations.




A key prerequisite for this role is having extensive offshore drilling experience at a similar supervisory level.

Other key criteria include:


• UGCG MODU OIM License Unrestricted, Surface Units Underway or Surface Units on Location

• Strong technical background in all aspects of drilling operations and support equipment

• Excellent leadership, communication and management skills

• Experience in offshore marine operations, industrial environment and drilling procedures

• Excellent customer service skills to deal with all manner and types of customer

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Current BOSIET and CA-EBS
