Join the costing centre of excellence for Subsea Production Systems, the role reports to the Subsea Production Systems (SPS) Global Commercial Costing Leader and offers a fantastic pathway into more senior and wider positions within the business.

Partner with the best

Within this role you drive cost accuracy and cost competitiveness, whilst working with the product team to prepare cost models for a global portfolio of pursuits and enable the bid to execute transition for our projects.

As Lead Cost Estimator, you will be responsible for:

  • Owning Product costing data for assigned product portfolio.
  • Building cost models to support ender proposals.
  • Working with a cross functional team to scrutinise cost base and build cost certainty.
  • Embedding lessons learned from execution teams into costed systems.
  • Developing and updating the product benchmarking database, identifying key metrics and cost drivers for individual products.
  • Championing cost competitiveness objectives with the Product Management team.
  • Maintaining a standard costing operating rhythm for high volume structured products.
  • Identifying proposal specific cost risks for given portfolio. Assessing actions and mitigations required.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED).
  • Have a background in cost estimation, cost engineering quantity surveying or similar.
  • Have relevant experience in project management, project cost estimating or cost controlling within an Industrial business environment.
  • Be analytically strong in cost estimating, risk assessment and reporting.
  • Have the ability to recognise opportunities and risks, and assess urgency, priority and impact to create enhanced value for the organisation.
