Overview / Responsibilities

Wood has an opportunity for a new Senior Heat Transfer & Utilities Engineer working across Feasibility Studies and FEEDs, plus EPC and PMC projects. This is an opportunity for you to become a valuable, well-rounded member of an experienced team, with successful candidates taking responsibility for Heat Transfer and Utilities Equipment issues and deliverables on projects at all stages of the design process.

 

  • Execute assigned work in accordance with the applicable Project Procedures and Standards, including WOOD and / or Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control, within the Man-hour and cost budgets and the project schedule target
  • Prepare material requisitions for the defined heat transfer and utilities equipment
  • Perform thermal design of S&T and A/C heat exchangers
  • Issue material requisitions to the Materials Management Department for enquiry, order placement and for any subsequent revisions
  • Review Vendor's quotations, prepare technical quotation evaluation and recommend the final technically acceptable Vendor
  • Review document requirements and issue dates for equipment with Vendors at the pre-order meeting
  • Prepare consolidated comments and return these to the Vendor
  • Correspond with the Vendor on technical matters and ensure that action is taken where necessary
  • Liaise with the Project Engineer and other groups regarding information required by Design Engineers

 


Skills / Qualifications

 

 

 

  • Graduated in mechanical engineering
  • Flexible attitude, with good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good knowledge of written/spoken English language
  • Good knowledge of written/spoken Italian language
  • Availability to assignment period c/o affiliates' offices
  • Computer literate within Microsoft Office
  • 3/5 Years of experience in heat exchanger thermal design
