Overview / Responsibilities

Wood has a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic, organized self-starter to support our Brine Remediation Project in Carlsbad, NM. This is a full-time position Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with occasional additional hours based on project need and schedule. Local candidates are preferred; project duration is 6-8 months, potentially longer

Key Responsibilities
  • Will work in the construction trailer and provide support for the site construction team.
  • Will act as a project liaison and will be responsible for greeting and checking-in visitors and answering the phone line
  • Routine and extensive contact with employees, clients, subcontractors and vendors
  • Responsible for the ordering/purchasing supplies, equipment, and field services
  • Monthly invoice coordination
  • Maintain all site documentation and progress reports
  • Will utilize MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Maintain files of daily reports and document work progress
  • Weekly/Monthly reporting of construction progress
  • Other duties to include mail, shipping, copying, report collating, binding and filing


Skills / Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of office or project management experience
  • Excellent phone answering skills and friendly customer service skills
  • Professional demeanor with co-workers, visitors, clients and vendors
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work in team situations with multiple priority management
  • Detail oriented, proactive individual who takes ownership of their work and be able to analyze data
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook required
  • Previous experience working at an engineering, construction or architectural firm a plus
  • Must be able to arrive to the site on-time and be available to be at the site at all times during work hours
  • Must pass drug test, background check.
