Overview / Responsibilities

Wood has an immediate opportunity for a Construction Engineer (Scaffolder / Access Coordinator) to join its Operations APAC West business, as part of our growing Construction & Commissioning team in Perth, Western Australia. This is an initial 6-month contract role that is anticipated to grow into a longer term opportunity.

Reporting to the Construction & Commissioning Manager you will perform a full range of scaffolding and rope access activities on behalf of a major global oil & gas client.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Creating access workpacks
  • Input into construction feasibility studies for Access
  • Attending constructability reviews
  • Providing inputs into schedule and estimates
  • Coordinating with personnel offshore

Skills / Qualifications

You must have full work rights in Australia and be available for a Wood induction before August 23 rd 2021 to be considered for this role.

Ideally, you will have a trade background in scaffold / access coordination with 7+ years field experience within the oil & gas industry, and be currently working in a similar office-based role (Engineering / EPC office) across estimating, scheduling, work packs and access coordination, with occasional visits to site

You must have all of the following (all tickets / licences must be current):
  • TBOSIET;
  • CA-EBS;
  • MSIC;
  • Working at Heights (WAH);
  • Advanced Scaffolder;
  • Advanced Rigging;
  • Available for an interview and medical
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen;
