We scout innovative technologies and originate opportunities to expand our portfolio of decarbonized solutions, manage programs for technology development and lead early customer engagement to position innovative solutions.

Partner with the best

As a Carbon Utilisation Technology Manager, you will be scouting for innovative and clean Carbon Utilisation technologies. You will validate value propositions and current technology readiness level and assess the investment needed to commercialize technology. You will collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to research and develop the future of our energy.

As a Carbon Utilisation Technology Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing, improving and sustaining available CO2 Utilisation Technologies ensuring their maturation to TRL 9 and full commercial deployment
  • Liaising with Engineering and Product teams to validate value propositions including balancing cost of technology targets versus alternatives
  • Responsible to deliver the assessment of investment required to bring technology to commercialization level, estimating also eventual NPD and P&Es or pilot deployment
  • Partnering with engineering, innovation and legal teams to assess IP landscaping to protect and develop in-house patents
  • Managing CO2 Utilisation knowledge, for in-house and competitors solutions, and to update technology assessment landscapes and trends
  • Preparing technical papers to promote our CO2 Utilisation strategy in technical journals and events


Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a PhD in Chemical/Process engineering
  • Demonstrated background in process industry and knowledge of technology within Carbon Utilization space
  • Considerable experience in the Oil & Gas and Industrial markets in disciplines such as Product Leadership, Innovation, Engineering, Process / Plant design;
  • Have excellent communication and written skills and be fluent in English, Italian and another European language
  • Demonstrate effective leadership skills with the ability to influence and build relationships with team, customers and relevant stakeholders
  • Be able to travel internationally to visit customers or Baker Hughes locations
  • Be a self-starter, proactively taking the initiative to solving problems and providing resolutions
