Applications & Systems Support Analyst - 12 Months Contract - 28 x 28 Rotation - Iraq

Essential:-  University degree in the field of Geosciences & related equivalent experience. proven track record of Applications support, Data Loading & Management, Linux systems & oracle database & proactive real time drilling support. Experience in Oil & Gas, E&P data & applications. Knowledge of Oracle & SQL database administration. Realtime drilling data integration with OpenWorks & other non-landmark applications. OpenWire data connectivity for high angle wells. Proactive QA/QC, end user support on RTD for multiple rigs involving multi-vendors engagement. OpenWorks User support for Subsurface applications. Linux Disks/storage Management. Database support for OpenWorks. Experience of Geoscience applications. Storage Management

Applications & Systems Support Analyst will be responsible for the support & Management of Petrotechnical applications & respective Data Services.

An experienced professional with the ability to provide high-level Petrotechnical support for geosciences applications used on site, including Landmark R5000; Roxar/RMS; DGI/Coviz/EV, Kongsberg SiteCom Discovery Web real time drilling, & SDI-Print Master. The position will need to support windows & Linux based environments. The position will interact & work closely with Petrotechnical Computing & will provide backup systems administration (LINUX) support. Mentoring & developing the staff in the applications & system administration across the Business unit will also be a key job responsibility. Critical to this position is the ability to effectively maintain & build effective working relationships with highly diverse, multi-cultural, & multi-national workforce in complex & dynamic organization structure. Database support for subsurface applications will be part of scope of work. Working in a fast & dynamic environment role will be required to maintain trouble free operations, resolving operational issues & delivering activities to agreed timescales while maintaining quality.

Applications & Systems Support Analyst Key Accountabilities   

The Applications & Systems Support Analyst to provide Landmark & Non-Landmark applications support of Geological, Geophysical, & Reservoir software for Company's Petrotechnical Computing Environment (such as OpenWorks, OpenWorks database, DecisionSpace Desktop Geophysics, DSD Geology, SDI_Montage, SDI_PrintMaster, ZMAPPlus, RMS, CoViz, Geologix, & Earthvision, DiscoveryWeb, OpenWire, support to rig site Geologist).

The Applications & Systems Support Analyst will be required to be suitably qualified individual as onsite & provide:

  • Real time well drilling operations support
  • Provide G&G/RE Data Management activities
  • Data Migration between multi-vendor Applications & remote teams.
  • Openworks DecisionSpace & interpretation projects Management
  • Design interpretation workflows according to user requirement
Work with Applications & other ITC teams to deploy, monitor, maintain, upgrade, provide data management, systems integration & application maintenance.  Involve in data centres routine & ad-hoc Server maintenance activities.

Actively promote a culture of HSSE awareness within the team & the wider organisation.
