You will be in a position that demonstrates accountability for functional, business and broad company objectives.You will be part of a role that integrates and develops processes & technologies that meet business needs across the organization.In this role , you will contribute to the overall strategy within Technology Development.

As a Lead Engineer - Additive Manufacturing Design, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing, evaluating and validating conceptual design solutions to meet near term and long-range engineering needs for new technologies across OFE.
  • Working closely with the Additive COE Leader to materialize NTI and NPI projects.
  • Supporting the design for additive training activities that aim to disseminate and exploit the benefits of AM technology across Baker Hughes.
  • Devising optimization methodologies of the full product life cycle of Baker Hughes products.
  • Executing research and production projects from design to 3D printing.
  • Providing technical design guidance, direction and training to new engineers, specialists, technicians and co-ops.


Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a BSc. or MSc. in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, Mechanical Design Engineering or Materials Science.
  • Have experience in modelling with CAD packages; such as Creo, Solidworks, Siemens NX or others.
  • Have the ability to Design for Additive utilising design optimisation software packages; Topology optimisation and/or Generative Design.
  • Have good understanding of 2D sketches and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Have demonstrated analytical, experimental, problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Have financial acumen with execution of operations and financial targets.
