Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is seeking a Process Engineer who has experience in processing uranium to join our Mining & Minerals team in Saskatoon. If you are looking to build upon your career and continue to develop your skills in the mining and consulting industries, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver process designs in accordance with project, time, budget and technical requirements
  • Develop innovative solutions to process and technical problems
  • Plan, execute and analyse metallurgical test programs
  • Prepare process deliverables such as process design criteria, process flow diagrams, mass and energy balances, operating cost estimates and study reports
  • Ensure process designs meet requires safety standards and actively participate in HAZOP studies and design reviews
  • Assist with business development activities and the preparation of proposal documentation


Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Process or Chemical Engineering
  • Experience with uranium and potash
  • A minimum of 7 years of mineral process experience with at least 5 years in uranium processing
  • Relevant process plant operational experience
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience with metallurgical balancing and simulation software such as SysCAD and/or METSIM would be highly regarded
  • Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required
