Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is recruiting for a Marketing Communications Advisor to join its Marketing & Communications team for Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). The role reports to the Marketing & Communications Manager for EMEA and would be focused on delivering imaginative, impactful and timely content in support of internal and external communications.

As a communications and marketing specialist, the role holder will be a highly motivated and conscientious individual that proactively supports the delivery of clear, engaging and compelling employee communications, external storytelling and content marketing activities as part of a dynamic and growing region. Other main duties include:
  • being responsible for helping to drive effective communications that informs and excites leaders, employees and clients about Wood
  • collaborating with their global marketing communications peers to support the successful delivery of internal and external campaigns within the region
  • supporting the delivery of differentiated marketing communications content while helping to build, safeguard and enhance Wood's reputation across a diverse range of industries

This is a multi-faceted role that requires an enthusiastic and impassioned marcomms individual that is energised by the opportunity to work on a variety of projects covering the full communications mix.

Key areas of focus include:
  • Focused on the development and delivery of impactful marketing and communications content in support of business objectives
  • Take complex, technical topics and turn them into meaningful content; exceptional written and verbal communications skills; proofreading and editing capability
  • Proactively and consistently identify and develop compelling, relevant stories from around the business
  • Support increased employee engagement through effective internal communications across the region
  • Effectively maintains and inputs to internal and external communications channels
  • Supports contribution to global internal and external marcomms campaigns
  • Makes a significant contribution to key marketing projects and events
  • Ensures timely delivery of projects - takes responsibility for deliverables, deadlines, contribution and expectations
  • Works as part of a global marcomms function ensuring alignment, efficiency and innovation of channels and messaging

Skills / Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent in a marketing, communications or related field

Knowledge, skills and experience:
  • Good experience in a communications and/or marketing role, preferably within the energy industry but not critical. Associated experience in agency, journalism, copy writing deemed equivalent
  • Knowledge of communication and marketing methods and channels including but not limited to management of print, online, apps, email, media, social media, webinars, blogs, events, speaking engagements, ete
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced, demanding environment
