Responsibilities

JOB SCOPE:

The Regional Tax Reporting Manager is responsible for the ASC 740 (formerly FAS 109 and FIN 48) tax accounting and reporting and execution of all annual and interim income tax provision calculations, drafting required tax disclosures, and forecasting the effective tax rate and cash tax payments, and for the development and documentation of procedures and controls related to the tax accounting function.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare, review, submision of corporate income tax provision (Current and Deferred); Pis and Cofins (debt and credit), IOF, Taxes on imported service, Month and Annual tax anciliaries obligation: Sped Contribuicoes, DIRF, DCTF, DCTFweb, ECF, Tax payment and Tax offset.
  • Prepare, review, submit the tax reporting required by Corporate tax team (annual and month).
  • Responsable for the attending of the closing on monthly basis
  • Organize and guarentee that all tax documentation are clearly and proporly shelved.
  • Attend internal and external audits
  • Support litigation procedures getting along with the external lawyers.
  • Create and execute proceedings to improve internal controls.
  • Attend tax consulting demands raised by internal stakeholders (in and out tax department).
  • Execute and implement tax projects aiming optimization of process, monetization of credits, reducing of workload
  • Manage competing priorities and consistently meet/beat deadlines.
  • Manage and assist with special projects as required.
  • Support the transfer pricing calculation
  • Implement integrated, efficient tax reporting strategies, policies, practices and work plans in accordance with Weatherford policy.
  • Focus on team work with tax and finance colleagues to ensure that tax issues and initiatives are properly reflected in the financial statements.
  • Guarentee the validity of the Federal tax certificate and the updating of the register datas.
  • Review tax account balances on monthly basis.
  • Atend internal and external meetings


Qualifications

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
  • This position is responsible for Tax Compliance, Transfer Pricing, Litigation, Report and Consulting activities related to the entities belonged to Weatherford Brazil's Group. It requires a candidate with the following skills & knowledge:
    • Required Education: Degree in Accountancy and/or Law
    • Strong experience on preparing, reviewing and submision of tax compliance related to Direct taxes (as Brazil classification)
    • Solid knowledge of Legislation related to Corporate Income Tax, IOF, Pis and Cofins, CIDE, Pis and Cofins Importation.
    • Experience on attending of monthly and annual closing tasks.
    • Experience with tax litigation procedures.
    • Experience on paralegal tasks.
    • Strong organization skill.
    • Considerable knowledge in Excel.
    • Leaned to automation and optimization
    • Experience on tax consulting: parlance, structured message, posture
    • Great skill with people
    • English advance level is required
    • Spanish is a plus
