Wood has an exciting career opportunity for a Transportation Group Manager to join our Salt Lake City, Utah team.This individual will manage the Salt Lake City transportation group and interface with our other transportation leaders across the West and the US. Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage key, high-profile transportation projects
  • Manage multiple-discipline full service, transportation planning and engineering projects
  • Manage and mentor Salt Lake City transportation engineering teams on multiple projects
  • Manage client communications, expectations and satisfaction
  • Prepare and manage scopes, schedules and budgets
  • Lead strategy and business development
  • Lead and inspire a culture of quality
  • Collaborate with transportation leaders across the West and US. Requires occasional travel

 


Skills / Qualifications

 

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering degree. MS degree is a plus
  • PE required
  • Proven effective leadership and business development experience
  • 15 to 25 + years related transportation experience and business experience with increasing levels of supervisory and managerial responsibility
  • Strong technical capability in transportation planning and engineering
  • Motivated to develop business from new and existing clients; capable of expanding client base
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and work in a collaborative team environment
  • Committed to successfully mentoring staff
  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally
  • Must pass drug test and background check
