As a Regional Laboratory Manager, you will ensure the quality of sample analysis performed with your lab. You will provide support and guidance to your team and safe and compliant laboratory operation. Your knowledge and analytical leadership will help our operations team to perform at the highest level.

As the Regional Laboratory Manager - Chemical Engineering and Science, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and supervising regional laboratory and personnel to conduct analytical work to support chemical applications in upstream oil and gas systems
  • Taking ownership for high throughput sample analysis and reporting for oilfield produced fluids and solids
  • Providing expert knowledge and support for Quality Analysis and Control, ICP, IC, XRF, XRD, amine analysis, solids analysis, IR, and UV/Vis spectroscopy
  • Ensuring instrument efficiency and validation and all data reporting for LIMS data management system
  • Providing key interface to internal and external customers, including technical presentations and training
  • Taking responsibility for timely accurate throughput for large volume of samples to support regional operations


Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or science related subject and a solid analytical chemistry background
  • Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years expertise working in industry analytical lab dealing with environmental, mining or oil and gas samples
  • Have expert level experience with ICP, IC, XRD, and XRF and general experience with HTGC and IR
  • Show a detailed knowledge of scale and mineral characteristics that form in oilfield systems
  • Have high level instrumentation and analytical experience to advance capabilities of regional lab
  • Have expertise with data management and LIMS systems and the ability to analyze and manage large data sets
  • Be a self-starter and have the ability to manage a high-caliber team to build a successful lab, ensuring data quality and meeting throughput metrics
  • Have a hands-on approach, provide guidance, and be able to share the analytical workload in the lab
