Sr. Project Engineer - Newport News, VA

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for any tasks that have to do with the collection of project data to monitor project performance, schedule, budget, and quality.

- Identify all risks that could negatively impact the schedule or budget
- Review all design drawings to ensure the quality and specifications are following the contract
- Provide input if needed for design drawings
- Coordinate with the engineering team to ensure everything is ready for production to continue on-time
- Document progress weekly
- Ensure project financials are reported properly
- Assist the project team with input on budget and schedule

- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field required.
- P.E. preferred
- Have at least 15 years of experience in construction engineering with deep foundation including slurry walls and jet grouting experience
- Full knowledge of contract specifications and quality assurance practices
- Must have experience with Roadways, bridge and bridge rehab, ground improvement, soil mixing, temporary works, tunnels, or dewatering/excavation
- Proven ability to manage a team in a design build environment
- Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident
