Role Summary:

The supply chain lean leader/operational excellence leader will be responsible for developing manufacturing initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes in order to enable meeting the key performance indicators (on time delivery, inventory, cost of quality, etc.). This role will also act as the Bently Nevada supply chain interface for the DS operating system.

Essential Resposibilities:
  • Act as a change agent in the implementation of demand flow technology utilizing state of the art tools and methodologies
  • Establish and implement team strategies, programs, and practices to achieve world class manufacturing inventory turns and process flow
  • Lead multiple teams and drive best practices in process design and implementation
  • Advise and counsel leaders on issues impacting inventory and work in process flow
  • Create the lean vision and implement the lean strategy to reduce inventory, lead-time and waste at the manufacturing facility
  • Drive measurable improvements in productivity and product flow
  • Lead Action Workouts; develop pull systems, train personnel and other activities to achieve a world-class lean process flow
  • Develop value stream maps for the product lines and eliminate process waste through the implementation of lean techniques across the product lines
  • Promote Lean Six Sigma integration utilizing strength of both methods to achieve business goals
  • Lead manufacturing in establishing product flow for plant value streams utilizing visual management tools
  • Encourage use of Lean tools to pull material from suppliers, through component plants, and into assembly
  • Champion Brilliant Factory initiatives in Minden factory
  • Support leadership team in strategic decision making and problem solving
  • Train people across the organization in LEAN methodologies
  • Lead capital spend execution for Minden Factory
  • Work closely with DS operating systems teams to drive improved dashboards to ensure visibility to metrics
  • Work with S&OP leader and help drive continuous improvement projects to maximize value of S&OP


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree from Accredited institution
  • 6-sigma/Lean experience


Desired Characteristics:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business is preferred
  • Strong team orientation

  • ASPIRE graduate
  • Knowledge of value stream mapping, one-piece flow, Action Workouts, Kaizen, s, and other lean tools is preferred
