Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently looking for a Trainee Plant and Equipment Coordinator to join our team in Brunei.



  • Assist to manage daily operations for the equipment procurement, inventory management and maintenance function
  • Assist in tracking the records, licenses, inspections, warrantees, and service agreements for the organization's equipment and tools. Minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking
  • Assist in tracking equipment quality throughout the product lifetime and makes recommendations for alternatives if needed
  • Typically reports to Project Services Manager and SCM
  • Assist to ensure that project / department milestones / goals are met and adhering to approved budgets
  • Understands and has the knowledge of department processes
  • Assist in planning and scheduling long - term maintenance for all Wood mobile plant and equipment determined by the strategies set in the Rejuvenation Contract to ensure the equipment fleet achieves maximum availability through managed component supply and repair facility availability
  • Maintain and promote a safe working environment and demonstrate correct HSE behaviors and leadership
  • Involved in communicating detailed maintenance plans & long - term component forecasts to site project planner's OEM's (Original Equipment Manufacturer) & other key suppliers on a monthly basis as required
  • Learn and understand the whole of life equipment strategy
  • Learn the communication that takes place when Plant and Equipment Coordinator assist and advise Site based Planners as required for developing Planning Strategies
  • Learn and gain knowledge in contract management, including subcontractors
  • Learn and involves in scheduling and planning maintenance activities for large equipment, portable tools, and equipment
  • Understand the key environmental risks associated with Maintenance operations, the controls to be implemented to manage the risk and the legislative compliance obligations
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, statutory obligations, and Wood policies
  • Ongoing monitoring of plant reliability and development of improvement strategies
  • Liaise with the Plant & Equipment Coordinator - Planning to monitor, review, and update Fleet Planning Processes
  • Learn and take part to liaise with suppliers and project management to identify improvement opportunities


Skills / Qualifications

Preference will be given to Bruneian citizens or Brunei permanent residents

Knowledge, skills, and experience:




  • Previous experience of working in an office environment
  • Demonstrable experience in similar administrative role
  • Good understanding of office administration processes and practices
  • Computer literate in standard software packages (excel / word / PowerPoint)
  • IT Literate (Excel / Word / PowerPoint etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • The ability to plan your own work, work on your own initiative and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Malay and English verbally and in writing is a pre - requisite
