Instrument Engineer (Onshore Operations)
We have a new vacancy for an Instrument Engineer to join a leading Oil & Gas organisation in the UAE. This is a permanent staff position based in Dubai with a Family Status Expat package attached.
The purpose of the position is to provide technical support / guidance to the operations and maintenance personnel at our clients Onshore Oil & Gas related assets.
This role will see you support all of our client's Onshore assets for instrumentation, control, safeguard and condition monitoring systems to improve the instrumentation and controls overall reliability. You will be expected to provide technical advice to determine best practises for discipline reliability and the most appropriate work methods to prevent repeat failures.
You will be responsible for the management of change and minor modifications in this discipline. You will be providing technical input to project scopes and drive supply chain process to ensure business goals are met.
The Instrument Engineer we are seeking will be degree educated in a relevant engineering discipline. You should have 10+ years operations / maintenance support experience in the Oil & Gas Instrument and Control area. You should have working experience with Control & instrument systems including; Field Instrumentation Devices, DCS, PLC Controls PLC-5 ad RSLogix 5000, Pneumatic Controls, Turbine & Compressor/Pump Controls, Vibration Monitoring Systems, Gas Compressor Surge Control Systems, Fire, Gas and ESD systems, Control and Shutdown Valves, Fuel Control Valves and Plant Information Management Systems.
You should also have working knowledge of oil and gas industry codes, specifications, and practises.
