This position is a permanent staff position based offshore from on a 28 / 28 rotation. Our client is happy to rotate you back to anywhere in the World on your off rotation, with rotational air ticket included as well as medical insurance in the package. We are seeking you to have a minimum of 5 years work experience in a similar Logistics Assistant position. You should have prior working knowledge in radio operations and / or warehouse operations and logistics. Experience should have been gained in remote areas or offshore environments.
Ideally as well as the above we are seeking for you to have a Radio Operator's Certificate of competence for Very High Frequency radios.
We are also looking for someone with radio operations experience in dealing with vessel captains/crew.
Logistics Assistant Role:
This role is responsible for coordinating with their onshore support base and procurement department for the timely availability of all critical offshore material requirements. You will be responsible for manning the radio room and establishing effective communications with all relevant parties.
There are two main areas of responsibility for this role; Warehouse Functions and Radio Room Functions. You will be the single point of contact for queries from Production Support Personnel relating to the expediating of important and critical materials. With regards to the radio room function, you will be involved in any emergency response procedures/actions, maintaining effective communications, planning/coordinating all logistics service providers, planning all helicopter flight movements, plan crew boat dispatches to minimise delays (men and material related) and coordinate movements of personnel throughout the complex.
