ENGIE are recruiting for a Project Manager to be based at the University Hospital in North Durham. This is a permanent, full time role, working 40 hours a week. On offer is a salary of £40,000 to £45,000 plus an annual bonus, car allowance and company benefits package.
The successful candidate will be responsible for Total Project Management, ensuring all projects (which includes lifecycle works and small works) are managed, operated and completed with uncompromised efficiency, on time and to budget.
What is your Day to Day:
  • Liaison with all relevant parties involved with projects, including working with the Client to interpret and develop a brief/scope of works in order to achieve sign off prior to works commencing, planning, during the works and through to completion.
  • Lead governance document development and approval process management for the projects team
  • Ensure all project files are maintained to provide a fully auditable administrative trail in line with ISO accreditation.
  • Procure competent Contractors to carry out the design, works/construction and commissioning of the proposed development.
  • Monitor the progress of the design, works/construction and commissioning activities and action accordingly to ensure the works are completed within the time, budget, and safety and to the required quality.
  • Remain customer focused at all times. Deliver value for money and ensure the agreed profit percentage is made on all projects.
  • Provide management information as required to support decision making.
  • Provide regular updated financial reporting and reconciliations on projects.
  • Ensure all data and management information is maintained and communicated accurately to agreed deadlines as required of the role
  • Support the retention of ISO14001 and environmental focus to reduce carbon emissions and utilities consumption.
  • Ensure all Construction Design Management (CDM) regulations are followed where appropriate and ensure all company paperwork relevant to this is completed.
About you:
  • Educated to degree level or evidence of suitable experience
  • Demonstrable & varied experience in construction related client side project management
  • Experience of delivering healthcare projects
  • Experience of PFI project delivery
  • Thorough understanding of the principles of project management for construction
  • Demonstrate good team working
  • Comprehensive Administrative experience in a busy office environment
  • Sound organisational/co-ordination skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills & telephone manner
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook and ideally Autocad proficient
  • Dynamic & Collaborative approach
  • Ability to provide professional guidance & task management for junior team members
  • Ability to mediate conflict situations
  • Facilities Management experience
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge
