ENGIE are recruiting for a Net Zero Development Director to be based within ENGIE's Energy and Carbon Services, working remotely with National travel. This is a permanent full-time role, working 37.5 hours a week. On offer is a competitive salary and company benefits package.

The Business Services division of Engie UK is responsible for providing energy and carbon solution consultancy services to our customers across the UK. We work with a wide range of customers including manufacturing, industry, corporate, commercial, retail, heritage and transport bodies

The Energy and Carbon Solutions team aims to shape a better tomorrow by helping our customers build; resilient, sustainable and affordable net zero solutions today. This is delivered through a professional consultative approach and is centred around:
1. Mandatory and voluntary carbon reporting services;
2. Best practice in energy management;
3. Expert insight in developing future solutions that stay alive through continuous improvement;
4. Financial Enablement Strategies
5. Large scale project volume growth across Engie UK through either Asset Light or Asset Based models.

The Net Zero Development Director is accountable for developing decarbonisation strategies to support our clients.

What is your Day to Day:
  • Supporting the development of the sector specific sales strategies for energy and carbon solutions capabilities in:
  • Energy and Carbon Compliance,
  • Solution Development through soft market tests, high level assessments, investment grade proposals, Net Zero Service Roadmaps and other solution based consultancy propositions.
  • Embedded Energy Management,
  • Financial Enablement through Energy Performance Contracts or As a Service Models and
  • Project Volume growth
  • Owning the business development lifecycle to help create the market opportunities, win large, complex and profitable new contracts with Clients that may span all the UK divisions.
  • Developing a marketing strategy, increasing awareness of the ENGIE brand and creating commercial value from new and existing contracts.
  • Working closely with our solutions team to develop opportunities in accordance with client expectations
  • Targeting clients for engagement and developing bids for service provision in line with our net zero ambitions and propositions roadmap
  • Supporting Key Account Managers & sector leads to ensure that net Zero is included in any business development opportunities managing a small growing team to deliver services effectively, commercial achieving targets and develop technical capabilities
  • Market leading consultancy services delivering efficient growth

About you:
  • Hold a relevant degree in business/finance/economics/engineering or similar relevant subject or equivalent
  • Demonstrable relationship building: C-level interactions, Capacity to mobilize and engage people, capacity to develop and leverage your network
  • Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams and matrix management organisations on major projects and programmes
  • Good understanding of the energy, climate change and/or the sustainability sector
  • Energetic, strong, self confident and self disciplined person
  • A results orientated individual who relishes challenges and being around people
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills with proven ability to quickly build relationships with new clients.
  • Articulate, innovative and challenging mindset with Strong collaborative style
  • Track record of winning Service or Energy deals in the market sectors
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain deep pipeline of sales opportunities
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to lead bid solution teams and work under pressure to strict deadlines
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Confidence to talk with and influence people at all levels
  • Sound understanding of Strategic, Financial, Risk Analysis & Business Assurance systems
