ENGIE are recruiting for a Technical Contract Manager to be based at the Southbank Centre, London. This is a permanent, full time role, working 40 hours a week. On offer is a competitive salary and company benefits package.
The successful candidate will provide the Southbank Centre Account with a best-in-class engineering delivery through the creation of an expert team and the development of robust systems and processes.
You will be responsible for the contract management of the staff, operation and maintenance of all electrical and mechanical plants/services, project works and plant performance.
What is your Day to Day:
  • Leading account engineering team and all associated subcontracted elements including the training all the staff in new methodologies and ways of working thereby ensuring best in class service delivery at this world class event venue
  • Developing and assisting with implementation of the new innovative maintenance models at Southbank Centre to ensure this premier venue is showcase of ENGIE's engineering capabilities ensuring that the Engie/Southbank contract is an exemplar contract of how to manage 'destination space'
  • Contributes to contract reporting for their workstream for internal and external clients.
  • Ensure that all matters that may impact the smooth running of the building and facilities are immediately reported to both ENGIE and Client team
  • To ensure that all staff within their control are conversant with the operation and control of critical and noncritical systems installed across the estate
  • Ensure optimum staffing structures operate across contracts, balancing cost reduction with the delivery of service excellence.
  • Introducing significant cultural change within the account team following the re-engineering of the team's ways of working and approach
  • Developing and leading a new commercial model, based on Lean principles, for the event support of cultural shows and events
  • Work closely with ENGIE's commercial team and strategic supply chain partners to ensure Engie brings new innovative products to market to ensure a best-in-class engineering proposition for the Engie business
  • Recruitment of any new staff required within the engineering workstream
  • Responsible for the technical development of all staff, which will include annual appraisals.
  • Manage all technical issues including systems and shutdowns.
  • Manage budgets within engineering workstream
  • Manage agreed KPI and SLA's.
About you:
  • Be qualified to at least HNC level in Electrical/Mechanical or Building Services Engineering or recognised equivalent; and will possess experience of delivering project and CAPEX works
  • Leadership experience combined with good Mechanical and Electrical technical knowledge
  • A proven track record of delivery within the M&E industry
  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge and skills to effectively problem solve
  • High level of self-motivation, organisational ability and drive to meet deadlines
  • Solid commercial aptitude and negotiation skills
  • Significant operational leadership experience in Technical Contract Management
  • Data analysis skills - can assimilate data from a variety of sources and distil into a clear performance picture
  • Good financial acumen
  • Good presentation, influencing and motivation skills
