We are recruiting for a Mechanical Supervisor to work on site at Dungeness B Power Station, TN29 9PX. This is a full-time permanent contract, working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.

What is your day to day?


  • The Mechanical Supervisor will need to work with the Hard Services Manager to ensure that all works across all crews are completed to a set high standard.
  • Manage a team of up to 10 direct and indirect reports.
  • Ensure all documentation and reports are delivered on time.
  • Deliver the planned maintenance regime as directed by the client and the Hard Services Manager. Responsible for ensuring the work is adequately resourced and delivered on time and within budget.
  • Respond positively to reactive requests when required, ensuring workloads are managed within the planned maintenance regime.
  • Understand and implement the training requirements of their individual teams and ensure that the base level of training is maintained whilst ensuring that the teams are being developed through personal development and appraisals.
  • Complete return to work meetings and disciplinary investigations. Manage sickness, absence and capability of team members as required.
  • Be willing to work overtime to support the demands of the business.
  • Assist other departments as and when the work load dictates.


About you?:



  • A recognised qualification in a specialism relevant to the role for example:, Mechanical Engineering i.e. NVQ Level 3
  • Experience within a leadership role
  • IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft applications and other information management systems




  • Degree qualified in a relevant Mechanical Engineering discipline / management
  • A mechanical back ground
  • Engineering experience within the nuclear industry
