Overview / Responsibilities

  • Maintain project-related record. This include but not limited to contracts and change orders, billing rate schedule, project journals.
  • Report on project profitability to management. Support lead project accountant and finance manager in providing budgeting, accruals, expense reporting, analysis and advice to project management on project financial performance and related matters
  • Authorize access to project accounts
  • Authorize transfer of expense into and out or project related-accounts
  • Review and verify supplier invoices related to project. Liaise with buyer on vendor invoice queries and cost controller for reimbursable matters relate to vendor invoice
  • Review and verify time sheets / labour hour charged to a project
  • Review and verify overhead charges to be applied to a project
  • Analyse and investigate project variances and report to management
  • Confer with account receivables and project manager regarding unpaid contract billing and report Account Receivable Aging
  • Investigate and resolved unbilled expenses and report on monthly unbilled status to the management
  • Create or review all project-related billing to customer. Ensure billing supporting document comply with contract requirement. Resolve billing dispute and obtained approval from client
  • Respond to customer on billing matters
  • Support the project in meeting DSO Target by ensuring on time payment received and prompt invoice issuance
  • Advice and support process improvement for cash recovery and cashflow management
  • Handle and support audit queries in relation to project related-accounts
  • Any other financial adhoc analysis and reporting requirement

Skills / Qualifications

  • A Degree or Professional Qualification in Finance and Accounting
  • 1 - 3 years related working experience
  • Proficient user of Excel
  • Past experience with project accounting and O&G environment will be added advantage
  • Oracle knowledge would be an added advantage
