Overview / Responsibilities

Wood has an opportunity for a Finance Lead. There is an increased thrust to deliver our services for the growing Asian market. As a result of this, Finance Department is expanding and evolving to manage the challenges of regional projects that continue to pose challenges in offering our services through a global talent pool.

  • To lead finance function, oversee daily operations and ensure all accounting records are properly maintained.
  • Be accountable for all the governance, statutory reporting and accounting processes of the business.
  • Producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines.
  • Be involved in financial projections, budgeting and planning for the business.
  • Responsible for company audits and taxation including timely filing of SST, liaise with internal and external auditors, tax agent and company secretary.
  • Responsible for monthly review of balance sheet reconciliations and ensure any aged open items are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all transactions and intercompany billings are accurately accounted for and confirmed every month. Identify and follow up any un-reconciled items.
  • Review payroll calculations to ensure they are consistent with and reconcile with current employment records.
  • Oversee the cash management process including petty cash.
  • Implement cost savings wherever appropriate.
  • Perform any ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time.

  • Skills / Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant or possess a degree in Finance.
  • Knowledgable of Malaysia accounting standards and tax requirement.
  • Able to work under minimum supervision.
  • Proactive, independent and able to multi-tasks in meeting deadlines.
  • Good in problem solving skill, strong analytical skill and committed to meet deadline.
  • Strong computer skills essential, including Oracle, Hyperion, Microsoft Excel.
  • Possess audit experience will be a plus.
