Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is recruiting a Civil Engineer to further increase the capacity and knowledge base of the well-established Civil Engineering department. This will give you the opportunity to work on a wide range of Wood. projects

  • Have experience in the oil/gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, infrastructure industries on large to mega projects
  • Must have working knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications
  • Has demonstrated capabilities in civil design including civil 3D
  • Must have working knowledge of project QA/QC requirements
  • Must have knowledge of civil design practices, calculations, design details, international codes and standards
  • Has experience in preparation/ reviewing bill of materials
  • May assist Discipline Head in providing technical excellence and standards for the department
  • Prepare work force staffing requirements and process schedules for projects
  • With good knowledge on appropriate codes of practice and standards
  • Able to use design and assessment methods
  • Routinely report job progress status
  • Prepare work force staffing requirements and process schedules
  • Demonstrates ability to work effectively and deliver requirements in a timely manner
  • Prepare / review project deliverables including the necessary coordination
  • Prepare / review design criteria and concept, as applicable
  • Prepare / review technical study reports

Skills / Qualifications

  • 5 years (Minimum)
  • Registered Engineer or Equivalent
  • Sc. Engineering or Equivalent, MS Degree will be an advantage
  • Should be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office software (Word and Excel) and applicable or work related software such as (WATERCAD, SEWERCAD, STORMCAD and other related software)
  • Responsible for the continual improvement of the department processes by notifying the Department Head of any concerns with the QMS
