Primary Responsibilities:
  • Setting up and running tests and calibration on company`s products which include Fibre optic sensors and optical instrument.
  • Reporting test results by writing Test report or filling test databases
  • Performing and reporting (pass/fail) Factory Acceptance tests on the company products
  • Responsible for the regular or exceptional services and calibration of the tests and calibration equipment's.
  • Perform splicing of optical fibre during sensor test set up.
  • Perform testing activities in-line with SAP router, work instructions, procedures and SAP system.
  • Perform final functional check on optical instruments prior to shipment.

Essential Requirements:
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering required preferably electronic or mechanical or suitable experience can be considered for engineering degree.
  • A minimum of one-year experience in the measurements/calibration area.
  • Very acute attention to details and extremely rigorous
  • Highly numerate, computer literate (especially MS Excel).
  • Self-motivated, Pro-active, capable of multi-tasking.
  • Good interpersonal skills, effective team player.
  • Fluent English speaker.

Desirable skills and experience, one or more of these would be advantageous:
  • Experienced of using optical fibre equipment
  • Experience of using high pressure equipment, climatic chamber or vibration table
  • Experience of high pressure, temperature, strain or acceleration measurements
  • Background in complex, high value, low volume product development.
  • Experience of maintaining Quality Certification (ISO 9001) in the field measurements

The Ideal Candidate:
  • The ideal candidate will have an electronic, mechanical engineering or physics background. It will have some experience of sensors calibration or testing including prototypes.
  • He/she will possess good manual and technical problem solving skills and excellent attention to detail. He/she will be able to assemble mechanical test fixtures and handle delicate objects with very good hands on skills.
  • A background in optical systems, pressure and temperature testing is not required however, the ideal candidate will have a background that allows him/her to understand the physics behind these tests.

The position Incorporates Reliability, HSE, and Quality analysis techniques.
This is an entry-level position.
