We are continuing to grow our Ground Engineering group in the UK and are looking for people to join our team who have the passion and drive to add value and shape positive solutions for major projects across the world.

The successful person will join a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects and international opportunities. You will work as part of a diverse and highly skilled team of engineering geologists, and geotechnical engineers, providing support and advice to the wider Jacobs business and clients. There will be opportunities for a wide range of responsibilities and roles within the Ground Engineering team aimed at developing your career.


  • Master's degree (MEng) in Civil Engineering or similar

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology or other related geoscience degree with an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology
  • Flexibility to travel for work
  • Working towards becoming a chartered professional (CGeol or CEng) with a UK professional body
  • Experience of ground investigation supervision, laboratory test scheduling and reporting.
  • Experience of earthwork, foundation and retaining wall design.
  • Experience of preparing accurate technical reports
