ENGIE are recruiting for a General Manager to be based in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, E20 2ST. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.

About the role:
Our Parklife Community Interest Company (CIC) is a social enterprise on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park designed to help deliver the legacy of the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games.
As the Our Parklife General Manager you will play a key role within the EFM team by linking the delivery of the EFM technical solution to the associated socio-economic priorities and commitments contained in the contract to achieve excellent service outcomes whilst maximising opportunities for local benefit.

You will achieve this by working with a range of internal and external partners and stakeholders across all areas of the contract. Critically you'll also lead on the development of Our Parklife, an innovative joint venture created especially for this contract, ensuring it meets its targets, remains financial sustainability and continues its long-term development.

Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:
  • Developing and managing high level relationships with strategic stakeholders in the LLDC, Host Boroughs, Venue Operators, government, police, community and other service providers in and around the QEOP.
  • Developing and managing the range of internal and external stakeholder networks and relationships necessary to deliver contract requirements.
  • Providing a focus for co-ordination and community engagement within the EFM contract in relation to service improvement and community benefit
  • Establishing clear standards for delivering services and related community outcomes and impact
  • Providing accountability for delivery of key Priority Theme targets in the contract
  • Ensuring the delivery of the volunteering, employment and skills, Park Mobility and any other customer focussed services required to deliver contractual commitments
  • Maintaining an understanding of the changing political and socio-economic conditions in and around the QEOP and developments in national, regional and local policy that impact on the contract.
  • Providing leadership for equalities and inclusion across the contract and in particular in respect of the workforce development and community engagement.

Required Qualifications, Skills or Experience:
  • Must be able to obtain Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) clearance.
  • Previous experience in community interest companies (CIC), Non-profit, charities or social enterprise is desirable.
  • The ability to build partnerships and engage with various stakeholders; in both private and public sector is preferable.
  • Ideally you will have previous experience managing a small team.
  • Sound knowledge of company governance requirements
  • Experience of working at senior levels in the private, public and third sectors
  • Experience of entrepreneurship and delivering business development and growth
  • Good commercial and financial expertise
  • Excellent programme and project management expertise
